Multi-User FastPic IC Software Offers Inventory Control For Multiple Users

The new multi-user feature of FastPic™ IC (Inventory Control) software from FastPic Systems allows companies to share controlled access to inventory across multiple work zones.

FastPic IC is a basic inventory control and management software that provides operators of automated storage and retrieval systems the capability to simply enter a part number into the system and have the stored items automatically delivered. The multi-user feature allows companies to integrate multiple storage and retrieval system work zones through a common inventory database. Access to inventory can be controlled by any unit in the system.

The inventory control feature of FastPic IC software also improves the security of automated storage and retrieval systems by controlling access to specific trays, carriers and bins in automated storage and retrieval systems such as Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), vertical and horizontal carousels.

Access restriction is fully customizable. The system can be programmed to limit access by individual employee or department, allowing operators to have access to only the items necessary to conduct their business. The software can be re-programmed quickly and easily to meet changing employee and department security needs. Supervisory reports can be generated to detail who had access to which items and when.

FastPic IC software is designed to be installed quickly and cost effectively using a wizard to create a basic parts inventory by stocking keeping unit (SKU) number and quantity. Additional storage and retrieval devices can be easily added to the system by using a special installation wizard.
