FastPic IC Software Tracking Area Improves Productivity In Manual And Integrated Storage And Retrieval Operations

With the Tracking Area feature of FastPic® IC inventory control software from FastPic Systems, users in application can quickly locate items stored in manual storage systems through simple tracking and pick list processing.

Operators simply enter or scan a part number or description into the system. The software will print a pick list that indicates the location of parts stored in shelving and other manual systems such as pallet racks and flow racks. FastPic IC software can work independently or be integrated into existing ERP, WMS or other host systems to help improve inventory management and increase productivity by eliminating wasted walk and search time and improve order picking accuracy. Inventory can be managed by part, work zone, operator, time period, or other convenient category.

FastPic IC software also integrates any one or combination of vertical lift modules (VLMs), vertical and horizontal carousels with manual storage systems to optimize order picking across multiple storage systems. The software includes dynamic space management tools that maximize both floor space and overhead space to improve the overall storage efficiency of automated and manual systems. Easy to use supervisory reports offer enhanced inventory control and analysis, and, when used in conjunction with automated storage and retrieval equipment, the system can be set up to control operator access.

FastPic IC software includes an installation wizard and device configuration wizards that make it easy to add equipment when required by business conditions.
